NOT NEWS: Duke Lacrosse Incident
Alright. So, even though I consider myself to live in Denver, NC with my parents, I really go to a boarding school in Durham, NC (called NCSSM if you're interested). Recently, I pick up a local paper, and see two (yes two!) articles on the Duke Lacrosse incident from over a year ago. Guys, if this isn't ridiculous, nothing is. This was a very controversial item that needed to be covered, but it has been over a year, and guys, it is DEAD! Excuse me News and Observer, please let it die. Now, do the thing where you tell me what you think, etc...

WEll, shit, dude.
We spent a year on this, we need somebody in jail...
the funny thing is...all educators predicting this to be the low turnout year of college apps to Duke....and it ends up being the year of one of the largest number of applications ever received by the Undergrad dept. at Duke- with a record being set for the number of regular decision applications. Ha, and people thought this so-called "live scandal" would deaden the competition, making it easier to get into one of the south's private ivys. This just shows that the lacross case does not really concern anyone anymore.
The Durham paper never did do any real investigating of the facts of the real story it was all spin spin and more spin The DA needs to go to jail. Thank God we have Bloggers. The future of real reporting by real people
