NEWS: Wiener-mobile Is Stolen!
Oh my god! How did no one jump on to this topic harder? This story has got to be one of the most interesting and funniest things I have ever heard of. Apparently, a highway patrol officer in Arizona pulled over the giant hot-dog shaped vehicle for slowing traffic in a construction zone, and when he ran the "Y-U-M-M-Y" license plates, they came up stolen. However, the driver of the vehicle was an employee of Oscar Meyer and was authorized to be driving. There seems to be some discrepancy in the belief that just the plates were stolen that Oscar Meyer has yet to clear up. On a story like this, there simply should have been more coverage for comic relief, if nothing else. I know you guys have some comments for this kind of story!

NOT NEWS: God in Human Anatomy
This new debate over whether humans are "hot-wired for faith," as CNN so intelligently puts it, is another perfect example of NOT NEWS! Obviously, something in human anatomy causes every form of human thought, because humans cannot think without their anatomy. It is obvious tha every emotion, feeling, and thought can trace its roots back to some origin in the brain, because that is where these thoughts are produced! This debate over whether or not we are "born to believe" is meaningless, because every thought one has obviously has to come from one's brain. I wish major networks would bring us real news instead of this filler. Tell me what you think, and I'll be happy to listen to any opposing opinions.

NEWS: Italian Prisoner Trade
I was shocked while watching the Colbert Report to find out (although it was expressed comically at the time) that Italy had traded terrorist prisoners with Afghani terror groups to retain a journalist that was being held captive. However, I did not see CNN (or any other news source I have seen today) mention it. When I searched for specifics on this obviously important event, all I could find was an article in the European Herald Tribune. I am very disturbed at the complete lack of coverage for this event, and I would like to have your feedback on it. Maybe I just missed some of the broadcasts by coincidence...but I need you all to give me your input and what you think about this lack of coverage.
NOT NEWS: Anna Nicole Simth OD
Ok guys, so was it a huge surprise that Anna Nicole Smith overdosed on drugs? I guess maybe it was good to let everyone know when and where she ODed, but I can't say I'm surprised....Do the comment thang!
NOT NEWS: Pet Food Poisoning
I, personally, have had it up to the ears on this pet food poisoning issue. I do believe this was news at one time, however, after enduring through special after special on the effects that this could cause and after days worth of discussion on causes and gluten and poor Rufus, I am frankly tired of this item of news. I do think it might have been important to spend a few minutes of airtime and maybe even a few more minutes of discussion about pet food, but I think most news stations went too far. I am a pet owner myself, and I have a black lab (which, by the way, is cooler than your pet =P), but I would have been satisfied to simply know not to buy these brands of dog food and be on with it. But, tell me what you guys think, and bring any issues to me that you all think are pieces of real news or those that aren't.
NOT NEWS: Duke Lacrosse Incident
Alright. So, even though I consider myself to live in Denver, NC with my parents, I really go to a boarding school in Durham, NC (called NCSSM if you're interested). Recently, I pick up a local paper, and see two (yes two!) articles on the Duke Lacrosse incident from over a year ago. Guys, if this isn't ridiculous, nothing is. This was a very controversial item that needed to be covered, but it has been over a year, and guys, it is DEAD! Excuse me News and Observer, please let it die. Now, do the thing where you tell me what you think, etc...
